Achievements of Dougie Bannerman (Club Trainer)

I started training Schutzhund Sport in 1990, with a Rottweiler. At this time no-one in the country would allow us to join their club with a different breed, so with my good friend Jim Blaikie we dabbled in

Working Trials, although our hearts were still in Schutzhund.

Dark Storm of Amon Sul (Storm)

A show line Rottweiler with some temperament problems, but training the three disciplines in Schutzhund helped his confidence.

Gained

Working Trials CDX

Jarob the Hurricane (Falco)

A home breed Rottweiler with an attitude. With only the sight of one eye (accident) and a cruciate operation he was the first Rottie in Britain to go from BH to SchH111 under the old BSA scheme.

Gained

BH, SchH111

Vom Haus Nye Dickens (Rico)

With my first Working German Shepherd Dog (Grey Sable), I learned how to compete at a good level. He taught me what pain was and I taught him what a naughty boy was. (Keeps persisting in living, now 11 years old)
